Seashells
Adds all sorts of seashells and little seaside treasures for beachcombers to collect.
How about a tiny mod that adds collectable seashells and little seaside treasures for the Monday blues?
The file has been cleaned with TES5EDIT, does not require any DLC and has no scripts, so it should be safe for everybody to use. Still, you should always make a backup save before installing ANY mod, in case something goes wrong.
> WHAT
It’s no secret that I absolutely love the coast, and something I’ve wanted to do for a while was to add seashells and assorted clutter to the beach. I was inspired to do this by the very fun game Animal Crossing (yes, I am lame and actually play that), so beachcombers rejoice!
So, yeah, all this mod does is add seashells, corals, conches, starfish and more to the northern shores. There’s over 65 new items. I hand-placed 120 markers around the beach of the Sea of Ghosts (all the way from Northwatch Keep to the wreck of the Winter War) with a decent chance (75%) that they will spawn one of my new items for you to pick up.
French translation by Sylom available here. Thank you!
> WHY
For decoration. These items do not do anything – they’re just clutter to decorate your home. They don’t sell for much either. I know this could be considered not lore friendly by some fine fellows, so please don’t bother pointing that out – I made this mod for myself, and I’m leaving it here in case someone else may want to use it too.
> NOTES
The items with light-colored textures appear pretty bloomy and HDR-y out in the open, but look fine indoors. If there’s a particular item you do not like, feel free to remove it yourself with TESEDIT or the Creation Kit. If you’d like to see all of the new items at once, enter “coc aaaSeashells” into the console to visit the testing cell I made.
> UPDATES – CURRENT VERSION: v4.0
Thanks to aviform, v4 adds a bunch of new stuff! Seaglass, brain corals, nautilus shells, sea urchins, and a beautiful replacer for the plain coral. A Vanilla esp is available for folks without DLC, and Vanilla + Dragonborn esp is also available, which adds spawning points on Solstheim’s beaches.
> HOW
To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your “Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data” folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use the Mod Manager to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your Data folder, and you’re good to go.
