_____-Ancient Nord items are treated as weathered steel. When being scrapped they return 1 less steel than regular steel items, and if that would drop the return to 0 it is changed to 1 iron. The exeptions to this are the “Honed” and “Supple” variants, these return the same as normal steel items.
_____-Forsworn armor returns leather, but weapons are made from wood and rock, so return the decoration items (feathers, claws, beaks)
_____-Scaled items return Steel but at 1/2 the amount of other steel items
_____-Studded items return steel but at 1/3 the amount of other steel items
_____-jewelry containing gemstones return x1 of the most prominant gemstone on the item model
