Play as the giants of Skyrim and enjoy a more immersive giant experience with more kinds of giants! Requires Dawnguard and Dragonborn.

GIANT RACE MOD
Note: The mod is still a work in progress so report any issues you find whilst updates are released. The new version now requires both Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Read the ‘Features’ section below to find out all the things the mod includes.

Play as the Giant race and crush all beneath your feet!

“The Giants came from Old Atmora, up there across the Northern Ice back in the gone-to-twilight-now age of myth… and settled here in the Skyrim, and all along the mountain ranges of our coasts. Yes, they are our
true ancestors– do not believe your aunt from the university– and,
yes, we were once as big as them– as tall as THIS– but that is another
story… We Nords fell into fighting and drove our Giant-kin up unto the mountaintops, and we were a wicked-folk for many years… until all things had
changed forever. Once the Moot resumed years later
things returned to a new semblance of normalcy and borders were redrawn
and agreed with in beer-talk, and raidings of the merethlands took
everyone’s mind off old feuds, and eventually the Giants began to come down from the mountains again.
And they were a bit different than we Nords remembered, or perhaps we
had forgotten much, but they would not speak to us anymore– they would
only smile in their lazy way, stomp over, and steal our belongings. If we fought them, they roared louder than the Tongues of High Hrothgar, and brave steads would be blasted whole into so much paste… and eventually we learned that if we painted only specific objects brightly with swirls and signs up pointing to it all, they would
simply take THAT object and not anything else and no fighting would
have to be done. And that explains the Painting The
Cows tradition, for as lazily-smiled as they are, so much that they
seem that they wouldn’t hurt a soul, the Giants eat meat and lots
of it.” – The Seven Fights of The Aldudagga

Racial Abilities
——————————————————–
Giantish – Being a giant, you can speak the giant language and no giants will attack you unless they’re Giant Plunderers. Mammoths now rightfully recognize you as their shepherd and there’s even a mount waiting for you in Sleeping Tree Camp.

Being a giant, you have awesome strength and stamina, and with your Club you can shake the earth beneath your feet. Next update will reduce stamina severely to ensure as little running as possible.

Giants are also resistant to magic and frost and can survive harsher colds than even the Nords. Being the strongest race, they have superior carrying capacity. They are also not very adept at magic.

Features
——————————————————–
The mod adds an immersive race of playable giants to the game and also adds more variety to the vanilla enemy giants. The latest version of the mod is not complete, but still adds many new features. The New Features in the latest version include authentic giant skin/tattoos for the player, new racial abilities, a mammoth mount, a working giant club that can actually create the massive shock effect giant’s are known to use to launch people into space (but only when your health is low and it can be found in the old chest in Helgen), actual giant feet and hands, a weremammoth transformation which can be unlocked near the Shadow Stone in Riften, new meshes for the amulets, wearable giant armor and clothes (warning: the female loincloth is a bit lewd, so you know, PG-13 for any parents who may be downloading this for their kid or whatever), giant bandits, and several brand new types of giants! Such as Ettins (two-headed giants), Hill Giants (fat giants), Weremammoths, Young Giants (based on the young giants in Elder Scrolls Online), and an upcoming Female Giant and Wrothgarian Female Giant based on the ones from Elder Scrolls Online.

The 4.0 version of this mod added two giant followers (male and female) that are located near Guldun Rock camp.

The mod also expands Sleeping Tree Camp a bit by adding a few NPCs (which I may relate to quests in the future) and a shrine dedicated to Malacath and Secunda which have at their base special amulets with unique blessings. The Amulet of Malacath may also be a nice addition to Orc characters.

Future Plans:
New voice files for giants and giant npcs and giant language dialogue to simulate conversing in giantish with your followers, more unique giant enemies, and possibly, Half-giants, Half-Ettins, a quest line maybe?

Installation
————————————————————–
To install the mod pick either the ESP or ESM version folder, then just drag and drop the contents inside the version folder into the Data folder of your Skyrim directory. I suggest installing it manually instead of
using NMM. There’s the ESP and ESM versions. The ESM version is for those who had the older version of the mod installed. However, if you want to go with the ESP version be my guest since you can edit your followers’
appearance to your liking. Pick whichever one you want.
