Battle Hardened Warpaints

As it was believed that certain symbols offered protection and guidance,
nearly all ancient cultures began to dress their warriors in such markings…

Version 2 is now added! It consists of sets 3 & 4!
The Standalone version is now available as well! v2.5!!
YES! All of the warpaints can now be accessed through RACE MENU!!

Simply open the .rar file, drag and drop the Data file into your Skyrim folder and overwrite if needed. You can also copy and paste the single file you wish to use in the Tintmasks folder. (Data/texture/actors/character/character assets/tintmasks).

If you don’t want to replace the specific warpaint number I have saved, chose the number you want to replace and after the underscore ( _ ) change the number to the one you want to use (01-10).

You can now mix and match between the 4 sets for even more combinations!

Delete the files in the Tintmasks folder to return to the vanilla warpaint or overwrite with your own or other warpaints if you so choose.

Using RACE MENU by Expired will help tremendously with utilizing the layering of these warpaints. It is not necessary, but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! They will NOT look like they do in the screenshots otherwise.

FOR THE WARPAINTS TO LOOK LIKE THEY DO IN THE IMAGES:

You should use SKSE 1.7.3; Thanks to a .ini setting added to SKSE, it is now possible to use HD 2048×2048
(up to 4096×4096) warpaint applied to your character rather than being limited to the vanilla resolution (256×256). To allow this you MUST have SKSE installed and you should add these lines to your SKSE.ini:

[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=2048 (or 4096 if you prefer)

Note: Prior to the introduction of this SKSE settings, no matter how big the textures were, the game downscaled them to the vanilla resolution at 256 x 256. This setting though, while allowing for higher resolution warpaints, will cause low resolution textures to look worse due to upscaling.

Because these are done in Hi Def 2048 x 2048, if you do not use this SKSE tweak, the warpaints will look more pixelated than in my images.

I will also be including the Modder’s Resource versions for those of you who do not use SKSE, it will be at the default resolution of 256 x 256 and will work with the Creation Kit.

Also, I will include a folder in the options section, which will include the much needed SKSE.ini tweak!

I hereby give all capable modders the ability to use my assets as their own in their own works provided that credit is given to me where it is due.

HUGE THANKS to Every One of my friends for helping test out and promote my warpaint collection!

There are also many others to search for as well! so,
