Myths In Skyrim Fr
First mod, for this author; trying to write storybooks based on real-world mythologies and tales that fit with The Elder Scrolls.
[1] Translator’s note: Here the “j’/je” and others are to stick to the words of the author of the mod.
So, I hope this works well because saving the esp was giving me some problems.
Hi! I decided to make a mod in which I put my simplified fanfiction of ancient myths. I’m still playing with it, but for the 1st version, install it, and type in your console command [via ²] [help”Borghilde”] without the [brackets] and it should appear. I have a ton of these real myth-based stories that could be “thrown” into your Skyrim game, and I really wanted to see that happen.
Future plans are to finish writing these stories in the Creation Kit, making sure they are all under an esp, and then I will work on the great task of putting them into the world or leveled lists .
Then after that I’m going to try to figure out if I can do a Bard Academy quest to find these myths. It seems appropriate for this group to seek out these books.
For the lore-friendly side…It is… Kind of. Obviously, none of this happened in the world of Skyrim, but it could have.
Focusing on general myths and legends that I know about through hearsay, word of mouth, and general stuff, I hope this is all in the public domain. I plan to look at parts of the Volsung saga, bits of the ‘sea maidens’, a bit of the Arthurian myths, and random treatises and stories that might vaguely tie into Skyrim.
Let me know what you think, planning to add more in future releases!
[2] Translator’s notes: I added the book to a leveled-list, that of the Orsimer Bookseller of Winterhold Academy, because I believe that no Bard has a “Salesman” leveled-list and I thought it made just as much sense. I had to re-edit the text in French to try to give it a song/poetry feel. I added a character sheet at the beginning of the book to try to quickly explain them [the characters]. Thanks to the mod author for permission to add to the leveled-lists & translation.
