“That Tamriel is home to many unexpected creatures, no one doubts, but perhaps a wealthy and shrewd Mudcrab merchant is a little too much of an encounter for the unsuspecting traveler.
Mudcrab merchants figure in Dunmer folktales for generations on their homeland, having concretely and demonstrably appeared at the time of the events of TES 3 morrowind, in the form of a typical Mudcrab of that region, and as a contemporary of this last one in the events of TES Legends: Isle of Madness, but in the form of a variant of crab typical from the realm of Sheogorath. Reports now circulate around Raven Rock that another crustacean merchant has settled on a small island in the sea west of the Damphall Mine in Solstheim. Interestingly, this one presents itself as one of the typical Mudcrabs of Skyrim, but with the characteristic coloring of the Solstheim variant, which appears to be covered in ash.
How it started his business, or even how it pitched its tent and transported its items to the small island, no one has any idea, or even where and how it learned to speak Tamrielic. Nor does it seem interested in revealing its secrets, and those who passed by its island reported several skeletons of thieves decorating the small area, scattered around the tent. And no one seems willing to find out how the little crustacean managed and is able to defend itself. Nonetheless, the merchant is known to have a large amount of money with it, and sometimes offers items considered rare, so clearly it has a way to defend himself and its possessions, and good sources. Little is really known about what it is, but one thing is almost certain: the only thing it has of crustacean is its appearance…”

(*Who is Beastmaster Mihail? He is my avatar/persona within the universe composed of all my mods. He is the ingame author who writes the texts that are usually presented as descriptions for my mods. A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar, he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)
Details about the Mudcrab Merchant mechanics: (SPOILER ALERT) Mudcrab Merchant has an average of 10000 gold coins on its inventory to buy stuff from you, and an immense arsenal of all kinds of items for sale, making it one of, if not the, best merchants in the region. Depending on your level, it may even have some daedric level equipment to sell, when you reach a level where even in chests they will start to appear randomly.
– 1 new creature and merchant: Mudcrab Merchant
– 1 new area- Mudcrab Merchant island
So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail’s mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don’t worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)
